Geto Boys: We Can't Be Stopped album synopsis

We Can't Be Stopped

4 words never described a group and album so perfectly than We Can't Be Stopped. The Geto Boys with their 3 members Scarface, Willie D, and Bushwick Bill were putting out controversial, over-the-top, gangster rap with great results (and controversy). In 1991, it all came together perfectly on this album. No matter what, you aren't stopping this trio from saying what is on their minds, no matter what it is. The police? The music industry? The KKK? Women? A group member shooting himself in the eye? No, nothing at all, hell they even put a picture of Bushwick without his eye on the cover. But this album isn't just offensive and violent raps with no lyrical or musical qualities, this is a an album of classic material. Backed by the classic paranoia anthem "Mind Playing Tricks On Me" and songs ranging from funny, morbid, insane, & downright explicit GB is backed by dope beats with a wide ranging variety of samples to make everything work here. Even in 2010, you still can't stop them
